The Billy Graham Center Archives and the Wheaton College Archives and Special Collections both use the Archival Seminary Room for classes, lectures and other events. Holdings from both archives hang on the walls of the room and are described below.

From the Wheaton College Archives and Special Collections:

• Prints by artist Alan Lewis

• Copy of letter from and photo of Warren L. Wheaton, who gave a gift of land for the college and for whom the college was later named.

• Copy of 1859 letter from the first president of Wheaton College, Jonathan Blanchard (1811-1892) to Warren Wheaton about Wheaton’s gift of land to the college.

South wall:
• Original artwork of political cartoons by Vaughn Shoemaker (1902-1991)

Full-color poster (measures 10" x 14") promoting the first Inter-Varsity student missions convention, held in Toronto in 1946. These meetings, held every three years, later became known as the Urbana conventions (from being held in Urbana, Illinois) and were an opportunity for students interested in missions to hear talks on the subject and meet representatives from mission boards. Poster illustrating the Biblical parable of the Good Shepherd (Luke 15:1-7). Poster used for street corner evangelism in China in the 1930s and 40s. (Because this poster was meant for a Chinese audience, it should be read from right to left.) The evangelist would tell the story of the poster, thereby gathering a crowd to which he would preach. Issue of the Moody Church News, February 1931. There is a picture on the cover of a conference on evangelistic work that was held at the church. Moody Church is an urban Protestant nondenominational church which grew out of a Sunday school started by evangelist Dwight L. Moody (1837-1899). Billy Graham Center Archives. From Collection 330. Copy of a handbill announcing the jubilee (50 year) anniversary of the Woman’s Union Missionary Society. 1910. The WUMS was started in 1860 by women in Boston and New York to provide a source of support for single women who wished to go overseas as missionaries. Billy Graham Center Archives. Poster prepared for Woman's Sunday, December 2, 1934, in Disciples of Christ Churches. The poster photos and drawings illustrate the medical, educational, philanthropic, and educational work the United Christian Missionary Society was doing among the women of India. Poster announcing a Youth for Christ rally in Detroit for the YFC team that would be going to Europe. Includes photos of Torrey Johnson, Billy Graham, Cliff Barrows and Connie Templeton, with information about the meeting. March 16, 1946. The first YFC team to Europe consisted of Torrey Johnson (president of YFC), Billy Graham, Charles Templeton, and J. Stratton Shufelt. This was YFC’s first mission to Europe and Billy Graham’s first trip outside the United States. The team left for Europe on March 19. Collection 285, Oversize drawer OS 35. See enlarged version.
